The following description was submitted by the event organizer.

Vision Quilt and Lewis and Clark Art For Social Change are amplifying the visions and voices of Portland youth and community at their Community-led Art Exhibition at the Lewis and Clark Community Counseling Center (the Art Therapy Gallery is on the second floor).

Vision Quilt (VQ) and Art for Social Change (ASC)  believe the arts play a key role in today’s challenge to create a safe Portland. Tapping imaginations and connecting through creativity can revitalize and build resilient individuals and communities based on kindness, gratitude, and hope. The students and community members were challenged to think like visionaries and their art is touching and inspirational. This event is a powerful showcase of community-led research, poetry, storytelling and creativity, demonstrating how young leaders are driving conversations on public safety.
