The following description was submitted by the event organizer.

An exciting tale of power, ambition, murder, and the supernatural, Shakespeare's Macbeth gets a campy and hilarious twist with outrageous original rock songs inspired by 80’s hair metal and played by a live rock band. In this 80’s adaptation of the famous play, King Duncan is Duncan King, the over-the-hill lead singer of the band “Something Wicked.” Macbeth, a backup vocalist for the band and wannabe star, and his ambitious wife, Lady M, plot to take over the band and boot Duncan out by any means necessary. The plot thickens as Macbeth meets a strange goth rock band called “The Weird Sisters” who give him a slew of cryptic prophecies that are the catalyst for all of Macbeth and Lady M’s evil doings. Rated PG-10 for some light swearing, a sexy dance number, excessive spandex, and staged violence.

"Something Wicked,” an original rock musical based on “Macbeth” by William Shakespeare produced by Torchsong Theater Company.
