Earth Day Parade and Celebration

Southeast Portland's Earth Day Parade and Celebration is on Saturday, April 26, 2025 (Official Earth Day is April 22nd) at Sunnyside Environmental School. Come celebrate Mother Earth with music, food and fun. Find out about local environmental groups and their efforts to protect our planet.
Join the colorful costume parade, complete with marching bands and giant puppets, and wend your way through SE Portland neighborhoods. All are encouraged to dress up as their favorite flora, fauna or any elements inspired by nature. Sasquatch will emerge from the wilderness to award costume prizes.
Later that evening, come and experience the Earth Ceremony, a secular service and celebrate with words, blessings and song, Mother Earth’s radical abundance, her spectacular every day greenery, breezes, sunshine, rainstorms, and birdsongs. Bask in her divine glory and give thanks for belonging here.
