Join co-editor and co-author Jamison Green in dialogue with Kai McBride as they discuss this comprehensive book and the intriguing history of science’s efforts to understand transgender people and trans peoples’ complex relationship with the scientists who study and work with them.
Jamison Green is a renowned activist and author who has contributed to major advances in transgender rights and healthcare access since the 1990s. He was the first American trans person elected president of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health and the author of the prizewinning memoir Becoming a Visible Man. His essays appear in many journal articles and books, most recently Surviving Transphobia and Defining Moments. He resides in the greater Portland metropolitan area.
Kai McBride is a mental health clinician in the greater Portland metropolitan area.
