Writing Workshop: Criminal Justice for Writers by Kim Fielding
The following description was submitted by the event organizer.
BOLD is excited to host Criminal Justice for Writers, a workshop led by author Kim Fielding.
Sooner or later, many characters will come in contact with the law. Get a crash course on the U.S. criminal justice system with special emphasis on subjects authors often get wrong — or need to take special care with. Explore the Four Cs: Crimes, Cops, Courts, and Corrections. Leave with a better idea of how to get your characters into and out of trouble while finding a few juicy plot bunnies along the way.
Kim Fielding holds a PhD in psychology and a JD and is a professor of criminal justice. She co-wrote a leading introduction to a criminal justice textbook. She’s also an award-winning, bestselling fiction author with over fifty books in print. Her stories span many genres, including fantasy, science fiction, romance, mystery, and horror.
Workshop registration is $50/person and available by calling (971) 888-5673. Spots for this workshop are limited and pre-registration is required, so confirm your registration soon.
