Curated by Sima Familant, Breathing. Room opens October 18 and showcases renowned artist Ranjani Shettar’s first exhibition in Portland. Her monumental installation Morning Song — crafted from lacquered wood by Indian artisans — explores the balance between industrialization and nature. The exhibit invites viewers to pause and reflect on space and stillness.
It also features works by Jeff Elrod, Naotaka Hiro, Kwangho Lee, Kwon Young-Woo, and Tsai Yun-Ju, Breathing. Room focuses on the interaction between art and open space, offering a moment of contemplation in today’s fast-paced world.
