Portland, Oregon: Local creative activists and authors Moe Bowstern and Erin Yanke are proud to present Lore of the Lockdown: What We Made and How It Healed Us, a showcase of pandemic creations. This 90-minute variety show celebrates the release of Bowstern's multi-zine series Good Night People of Earth, an insightful and playful daily digest originally appearing on social media from Oregon's first shelter-in-place orders from March 2020 through July 2021.

Lore of the Lockdown will feature some of Portland’s most powerful local luminaries, including world-class MC Mic Crenshaw, nationally recognized poet and storyteller Ed Edmo, top-shelf burlesque with Lolita von Honeydew LaRoux, firsthand reports from the uprising by a local citizen journalist, insights from keen observer Ana Helena, choice words with growth rap artist Des Spann, poignant music from Cynthia Nelson, and pop punk rawk with El Demasiado, the one-human band who plays weekly on Alberta Street throughout the summer. Bowstern will read audience-generated excerpts from the zines between acts, backed by Grand Style Orchestra facilitator DJ Shorty Grapes.
