NW Dance Project presents Casual Act + Yidam
The following description was submitted by the event organizer.
Founding Artistic Director Sarah Slipper puts her special spin (pun intended – you'll see) on Harold Pinter's lauded 1978 play Betrayal with her Casual Act, while Resident Choreographer Ihsan Rustem will remount his meditative and dramatic Yidam from 2015, which has been performed at the Bolshoi and esteemed stages in Europe, and described as "hard to look away from such breathless abandon."
Celebrate 21 years and nearly 400 works made and premiered in Portland. The season opens with audience favorites from NW Dance Project's two most acclaimed choreographers.
Estimated full run time is 90 minutes with one 20-minute intermission.
