The following description was submitted by the event organizer.

The Chronic Pain Project is proud to announce its first-ever in-person art exhibition, Illuminating the Invisible: The Beauty Behind the Pain. The selected artworks represent the often invisible experience of chronic pain, with pieces created to provoke conversation. This Downtown Portland event aims to promote understanding of artists’ diverse experiences through the poignant medium of visual art.

The exhibit will showcase artworks made by local creatives and people worldwide. Each artist has created a piece representing their personal experiences with chronic pain. The evening will include a panel conversation with artists and a 15-minute video presentation sharing artists' experiences.

Food and drink will be provided and a chance to win self-care items, including massage and salon gift certificates, Explain the Pain books and other items in a live raffle.
