FATHOM
The following description was submitted by the event organizer.
FATHOM is a new immersive art experience produced by Portland-based creative collective Roboto Octopodo. Featuring oodles of otherworldly undersea-themed creations in the heart of downtown Portland, FATHOM will delight and inspire visitors of all ages.
ROBOTO OCTOPODO is a mysterious global organization dedicated to monitoring and researching unusual phenomena. Recently, a temporal and spatial anomaly, known as a ‘ripple,’ emerged in downtown Portland. ROBOTO OCTOPODO is engaged in studying this anomaly for scientific inquiry. THEY NEED YOUR HELP. They are requesting your assistance in exploring this peculiar underwater realm, designated as FATHOM and collecting data to enhance understanding of this unique environment. Your collaboration is essential to unravel the origins of this anomaly and uncover its underlying mysteries. Your help is essential in deciphering the cause of its occurrence and unveiling the secrets concealed within. Your participation as a FATHOM researcher will greatly contribute to the scientific efforts in comprehending this phenomenon.
Roboto Octopodo is a creative group that strives for an ecosystem where artists are cultural drivers pushing society forward. They are the designers, thinkers, makers, and community builders operating outside of constraints. They aim to connect people and give them space to play, dream, and make beautiful things. Roboto Octopodo wants to see a world where age, gender, race, generational, and political differences are not barriers but benefits. They are here working together for the betterment of all. The future needs creative voices, and Roboto Octopodo is here to give it.
FATHOM is the first phase of the Roboto Octopodo grand plan. FATHOM will be a temporary pop-up experience, but there is a much larger vision for the future of Roboto Octopodo and immersive art experiences in Portland.
