Matsutake Hunting at Mt. Hood
The following description was submitted by the event organizer.
Join fellow Friends of JAMO on a field trip to hunt and gather matsutake mushrooms on Mt. Hood. You can join now if you’re not yet a Friend of JAMO.
Trip Details:
- meet up at 9am in Zigzag.
- The event fee covers orientation and guided mushroom collecting on or near Mount Hood.
- Participants are responsible for their own lunches.
- Each day’s mushroom hunt will go from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
- There is an optional potluck afterward.
As in all harvests, the weather may dictate a change in plans, and the abundance of the harvest varies from year to year. Sign up to join and be kept fully up to date.
