Two legendary dance bands come together on one stage for one special night of entertainment you won't forget. Enjoy the celebration and showcase of live Latin dance music from Salsa to Cumbia, Bachata to Bolero, Latin jazz and more. Enhance the experience with incredible catered food and bar specials as you dance the night away in this historic new venue.
Son de Cuba is a sextet created in August 2015 by musicians from Mexico and Cuba. Playing genres such as Salsa, Timba, Son, Merengue, Boleros, Cumbia, Bachata, Latin Jazz, etc. The band consists of Vocals, piano and bass piano player Nelson Morales; singer and minor percussion Adalberto Dominguez; Sax, flute and vocals Ramon Brizuela Martinez; Timbal player and master percussionist Isidro Valor Perez; Trumpet player, minor percussion and vocals. Juan Carlos Tito is the band manager, and the percussionist and vocals will be Tony Gonzalez. Based in Portland, Oregon.
A staple in the live Latin music scene since 1987, Conjunto Alegre plays tropical music from all over the Caribbean – Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Colombia, Venezuela, Panama, and the US. Aquiles Montas has been the lead promoter of Caribbean music in Oregon since 1984. Conjunto Alegre’s high energy and great connection with the audience have made them a high priority at clubs, private parties, and summer concerts in the parks for many years, such as Mt Hood Jazz Festival, Portland Mayor's Ball, Ilani Casino, Portland Rose Festival, Cinco De Mayo, Eugene Celebration, Salem Art Festival, Oregon County Fair and all city summer concerts throughout Oregon.
