On Saturday, February 8th Resonance Ensemble’s treble singers join forces with the innovative talents of Ringdown—a group featuring Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Caroline Shaw and multi-instrumentalist and truth-teller Danni Lee (who Oregon ArtsWatch hails as “dynamite,” “a perfect compliment to Shaw” and “a definite ‘peanut butter and chocolate’ situation”) for an evening of community music-making at the historic Aladdin Theatre.
Also featured, Resonance-favorite Cecille Elliott (also known for her vocal work with Lyyra and recent instrumental appearance with Sleater Kinney) unveils a new Resonance-commissioned work in addition to sharing her original compositions.
This Portland-infused collaborative extravaganza features everyone playing everyone’s music together–including a chance for audience members to join in the music-making themselves.
