Bryce Vine
The following description was submitted by the event organizer.
Bryce Vine is a rapper and singer who blends pop, rap, and alternative rock influences, delivering witty, thoughtful lyrics and catchy hooks. His rhyming style is at once relaxed and quick-witted, full of dry wit and casual observations on relationships (his 2018 breakthrough hit "Drew Barrymore") and the world around him (2014's "Sour Patch Kids," his first online success), while the tracks mix up hip-hop conventions with idiosyncratic melodies and with the guitar often part of the arrangements. After enjoying major success as an independent artist, he signed with a major label for the release of his debut full-length Carnival in 2019. He continued to release a steady stream of singles where he explored different sounds and feelings, with the boastful rap of "Nobody," the cocky breakup tune "y can't we b friends," and the darkly witty socio-political pop of "American Dream" all arriving within six months in 2022.
