Strange & The Familiars’ storytelling songs guide the audience into the supernatural Strange World, a world in every way like this one with a magical twist. Combining wickedly crafted lyrics laced with dark humor and whimsical imagery, Strange & the Familiars leads captivated audiences through the world and the dreamscape, where humanity sits at a very real crossroads. Combining jazz instrumentation with musical elements of funk and goth folk with theatrical sensibilities of vaudeville influences range from the wry humor of Edward Gorey to the magical world-building of Neil Gaiman and the eclectic, avant-garde stylings of Laurie Anderson. With comic books that delve deeper into the Strange World and shadow puppetry that often accompanies the storytelling, Strange & the Familiars offers a unique, multifaceted perspective on the direction that humanity is heading, where salvation may very well lie in the ability to dream your way through this long, dark night.

Coven Dove began in early high school, playing violin and viola in a nationally recognized symphonic orchestra. After graduation, she was the frontwoman of an indie-pop band in the University of North Texas music scene. In 2020, she packed her car and moved from my studio apartment in Dallas, Texas to a small cabin above a wood shop in Washington State. Ther, she recorded and released her first 8-track demo album, Mortality, under the pseudonym Coven Dove. As a composer and a romantic, Coven Dove dives deep into humanity with soft eyes and an open heart. It's a project born out of influence from many different corners of art, music and literature.

Fern Spores is a femme-folk-rock band hailing from Olympia, WA. With a sound as raw and captivating as it is intentional, they weave gritty guitar leads, haunting fiddle melodies, and powerhouse vocals that leave audiences spellbound. Drawing inspiration from musical giants like Janis Joplin, Alabama Shakes, Susan Tedeschi, and Cat Power, Fern Spores infuse their music with a modern edge while paying homage to the raw energy and authenticity of their predecessors. Their songs are both anthems of empowerment and poignant reflections on life’s highs and lows.
