Community Challenge Concert Series

I CHOOSE LOVE offers a compelling educational message of hope and healing spearheaded by a concert of uplifting inspirational songs to encourage and reinforce the power of love and universal tolerance to combat the challenges our leaders face to promote justice and equity in the lives of all its citizens—and especially those who believe their identity group has been denied these constitutionally guaranteed rights.
The Brown Sisters are considered one of the best vocal groups to come out of Portland. They were born and raised in Portland and have been singing gospel/inspirational music for over 30 years. Their talent, love and passion for music has allowed them the opportunity to open for the late Dr. Maya Angelou, and they have shared the platform with well-known artists such as CeCe Winans, the Oregon Symphony, Portland Trailblazer games, and many more. You don’t listen to the Brown Sisters just with your ears. You also listen with your heart and soul. They wrote the lyrics to the ICL anthem “CHOOSE LOVE”.
