Since the early 1990’s, a faction within the Russian Orthodox Church has advocated for Grigori Rasputin’s canonization as a saint. David Wagstaff, the author and director of this one-man play “Rasputin,” offers his personal, yet secular, seconding of this move to canonize this much misunderstood and maligned holy man.
