Since 1976, Keep Alive The Dream has celebrated Oregon’s Black community. This annual event honors pioneering activists, community leaders, artists, musicians, and youth whose efforts have impacted the community.
This year’s theme, Beyond Resilience to Empowerment, encapsulates our resolve and commitment to collaboratively working with our partners to develop innovative arts and education programming and opportunities for youth so that they may realize their dreams. This year’s program will feature:
- Inspiring Speakers: Reflecting on Dr. King's enduring legacy of justice, equality, and unity.
- Live Performances: Music and entertainment celebrating the resilience and spirit of the Civil Rights Movement.
- Lifetime Achievement Awards: Recognizing individuals and organizations making a meaningful impact in our community.
- Victory Village Marketplace: Highlighting local businesses, community organizations, and artists.
This year, honor those who uplift and inspire while envisioning a future built on community resilience, growth, and shared aspirations and prepare for a monumental 40th anniversary celebration in 2026. While continuing beloved traditions, you are invited to be part of this journey and next year’s milestone celebration.
Admission is free, and the Vendor Village is open to all. The buffet will be reserved for those who RSVP. To help plan accordingly, please RSVP early. Arriving early to enjoy the full selection, as food options may be limited later in the event.
