14. The Oregon Garden

The Oregon GardenDiscover The Oregon Garden, where thousands of plants are displayed in more than 20 specialty gardens. Explore water features, garden art, wetlands and wildlife, the Rediscovery Forest, a playful garden just for kids, and the 400-year-old Signature Oak. The Oregon Garden is located on 80 acres in historic Silverton, Ore., less than one hour south of Portland. There’s an annual brewfest in late April, a summer concert series, special Saturday activities for kids (June-August) and plenty of plant shows.
